Milan Furniture Fair 2011 - Let the Insanity begin
Designer Sophie de Vocht, a design student awaiting graduation this spring. De Vocht said she wanted to create a piece with the same kind of tufting technique used in making carpets. Special equipment allowed her to loop material through a lattice-like structure, the knitted stocking-like material gradually becoming looser as it flows toward the feet. The designer said she wanted the piece to sit close to the ground — a nod to the carpet-making technique used to create the chair.

Worlds first 18- Hole floating golf course in Maldives
The $500 million project may just kickstart a a new trend and I can’t wait to see how it impacts further floating developments.
The 18-hole golf course will be situated near the Maldives airport and will be built upon floating platform for an unforgettable experience. The solar powered golf course will of course offer luxurious accommodations that would offer unparalleled views of the stunning surrounding reefs. Underwater tunnels will be built as well and the project will be led by Waterstudio.NL, Dutch Docklands and Troon Golf.
Gone are the days for floating hotels and restaurants!!
