Ikea Fruit bowl Lamp- worth sharing

Materials:
IKEA STOCKHOLM bowl
The solution was a very simple 2 long M4x40 screws, which screw directly onto the junction box screw holes, on which the lamp then hangs. I installed a white lamp holder, and here is the result:

You can see the two screws on the top - I want to dip them in tippex or white paint to make them white... - there is actually just one place of all the flowers where it is possible to secure it like that (for this particular size of junction box).

You can also see the black hole of the junction box - that is to be covered with a piece of white rigid plastic.
What you can also see, are the 3 little rubber feet of the fruit bowl...I did not take them out as I am afraid the paint will come out...but they will have to come out sooner or later.

It is difficult to photograph the real effect, but I can assure you that it looks very nice!

Diesel: Tokyo

Modern store design by Sinato Studio

The ‘rolls’ are constructed out of a single length of aluminum sheet thread that is rolled and curved into the resulting shapes pictured. The rolls are situated on the ground and start to unravel towards the ceiling and into the next roll.

The flat rolls that make up the majority of the piece are topped with glass, transforming the sculptural pieces into a display for the diesel merchandise. The very large but gorgeous and sleek rolls are great for retailers to add an industrial yet modern aesthetic to their commercial space. Light reflects on and off the aluminum, which adds to the illusion that the curves rolls create in the room.

Lighting : Brand van Egmund

Design label Brand van Egmond is the pioneer in Dutch haute couture lighting design. Architect William Brand and sculptor Annet van Egmond founded Brand van Egmond in 1989 with the sole intention to create art without restraints. Each bringing something different to the brand, the duo has transformed their design studio into an international trendsetter for creating innovative, independent designs.

 ‘Night Watch’
It’s modern, trendy and slightly minimalist in comparision to the rest of the brand van egmund collections. The designer’s tag line for the item is ‘Past, present and future dissolve into one glowing celebration’.

‘Flower Power’

The collection (which includes the lounge cube, above) is an intricate tangle of  scrollwork, both dark and mysterious yet exquisite.  The collection also includes some wonderful pieces of lighting that perfectly show how spiky, blackened metalwork can be simply stunning. The entire collection is of hand crafted sculptures of iron and steel combined with blackcrystals that fascinate and are strangely appealing.

 ‘Beautiful Stranger’
‘This chair is your archetype beautiful stranger, there is more than meets the eye’.
The designers are particularly proud of the fact that when the chair sits at the table you can’t see the base from the back so it looks like a whole chair constructed from this weird, twisted string structure.

This other modern chandelier above is a signature piece for Brand van Egmond. It was first produced by the company back in 1988 and it has been popular with customers ever since then!
The main frame of the light is created from iron and the chandelier droplets are made from solid, rough, chunks of glass, so it would fit in well in an industrial style interior. Having said that it would look equally good in the hallway of the house or of course in the dining room.
Love them all!!!
