Diesel: Tokyo

Modern store design by Sinato Studio

The ‘rolls’ are constructed out of a single length of aluminum sheet thread that is rolled and curved into the resulting shapes pictured. The rolls are situated on the ground and start to unravel towards the ceiling and into the next roll.

The flat rolls that make up the majority of the piece are topped with glass, transforming the sculptural pieces into a display for the diesel merchandise. The very large but gorgeous and sleek rolls are great for retailers to add an industrial yet modern aesthetic to their commercial space. Light reflects on and off the aluminum, which adds to the illusion that the curves rolls create in the room.
